We train experts who will play a leading role in designing the most innovative digital services of the future. Our graduate designers are familiar with the international scene and its opportunities, and are well-equipped to make a significant impact on digital culture.
Human-machine interaction design will become a leading design field in the future. Our Interaction Design MA programme aims to empower students with solid professional knowledge and future-proof market competences that will allow them to compete anywhere in the world.
Students are divided into small, diverse groups and receive mentoring to successfully develop their own design character and professional focus. They will work towards addressing professional and social challenges, with input from market partners, to develop an experimentational, critical, and creative approach built on genuine expertise.

This year, the MOME community celebrated the graduates of twelve MA and nine BA courses in a festive ceremony. Speeches were given by interior designer Mrs. Bánki née Laura Szerdahelyi, one of our jubilee graduates, who turns 91 this year and designed the interiors of Déli Railway Station; Curator and László Moholy-Nagy’s grandson Daniel Hug; and designer Stefan Lengyel, who is celebrating a milestone anniversary this year. In addition to conferring the degrees, this year’s Rector’s Special Awards and several professional awards were announced, and the Gold, Diamond and Iron jubilee graduates also received their certificates.
What stories lie behind the objects people leave behind on Budapest’s public transport? How can design create joyful objects for blind and partially sighted people? What does design have to say about digital consent or tradwife aesthetics? And how can urban housing or Holocaust education become the subject of a diploma project? This year’s MA diploma projects at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design once again show what currently engages the new generation of emerging artists and designers. The works on display look at social, environmental and technological challenges from personal perspectives.
