
Hungarian and Dutch applicants for the role of rector at MOME
The Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Foundation invited applications for the position, with a deadline of 31 March 2026. The maintainer has confirmed the validity of all three applications. The applicants include renowned Dutch designer Jurgen Bey, former director of the Sandberg Instituut in Amsterdam (the postgraduate programme of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie), and co-founder of the Rotterdam-based Makkink & Bey architecture and design studio. Also applying are Ybl Miklós Prize and Prima Primissima Prize-winning architect, and MOME’s current interim rector Csaba Kovács, and Ferenczy Noémi Prize-winning graphic designer, former head of the MOME Media Institute, and university professor Balázs Vargha.
The applicants will be interviewed by the MOME Senate and the maintainer at the end of April 2026.
